The chapel of Agios Panteleimonas was built on top of two previous chapels that were destroyed. The present chapel is made of stone and has a wooden roof. Inside there are some particularly beautiful, contemporary frescoes, one of which depicts Mother Mary surrounded by other female Saints.
The chapel of Agios Panteleimon is located within walking distance from the roundabout that leads from Paralimni to Protaras.
Today’s chapel is built of stone and covered with wood. The interior of the church is hagiographed with wonderful icons and frescoes of the Saints of Orthodoxy and with representations of the New Testament. The show with “Rodon Amaranto” stands out, where the Virgin Mary is presented holding roses and being surrounded by Saints. Another hagiography shows Christ sitting on a tree trunk, holding the Gospel and surrounded by Saints.
The precinct of the church is quite beautifully landscaped, surrounded by trees, while due to the satisfactory size of the chapel, it is chosen by many locals and not only, for the performance of Mysteries (baptisms and weddings).
Every year on July 27, the feast day of St. Panteleimon, a glorious festival is held in the presence of a large crowd.
